I am going to Hajj, Allah willing, but I am going with a Sunni company. I did not find a Shia company to go with here in Canada. What should I do if there is a difference in seeing the crescent and they are, as far as I know, they will perform the rituals of Hajj according to the declaration of the authorities in Saudi Arabia? What should I do if the difference was a day or two days, and we will leave from Saudi Arabia after dinner on the twelfth day, according to the official announcement?
Answer
In the name of Allah, if person intending Hajj knows that what the Saudi authorities decided is contrary to reality, then if he manages to perform Hajj in that situation as required, then he must do it, even if one of the two standings is optional and the other is compulsory. If he is not able, then if this year is the year in which he was capable, then he must tolerate and his ruling is the ruling of the banned person. If the year was not the one in which he is capable and the Hajj was stable from previous years, he must perform the Hajj in the coming year, and if he had no knowledge of his violation of the authorities’ view of reality. In this case, it is sufficient to perform the rituals according to what the government system sees in Saudi Arabia. We have a delegation to guide people in Madinah and Mecca and you can find out the duty by contacting our delegation in Hajj, Inshallah. Allah is the Guide and Knowing.
